Two websites, three markets, and a search system that took organic traffic from a trickle to 7x in nine months. Twelve-month engagement, 2025 to 2026.
Gutter Empire had the reputation: more than 120 five-star reviews and a lifetime workmanship warranty. What it didn’t have was the search presence to match. Two websites, just over ten keywords on page one, no unified tracking, and no way to know which channel was producing the phone calls. In three competitive metro markets, the best-reviewed installer was losing the search to lesser companies.
We built one acquisition system across both properties. Paid search went live first, by design, so the client had lead flow from week one while organic compounded underneath it. Technical SEO, service and location content, Google Business Profile optimization, citations, and backlinks built the organic footprint across Portland, Estacada, and Oregon City, and every channel reported against tracked actions in the same weekly report.
Technical SEO, local coverage, paid media, and conversion tracking brought both properties into one measured acquisition system.
Weekly organic search traffic climbed from 34 to 243 over nine months. It doubled in the first two, tripled by the third, and kept compounding.
Three months in, twelve high-intent queries went from unranked to the #1 organic result in a single month, including “gutter installers portland or,” “portland gutter installation,” and “gutter repairs portland,” each also holding a #1 or #2 map-pack spot. Eight months in, one week added a dozen more.
At its peak the system produced 102 tracked actions in one week: 74 form submissions, 14 call clicks, 10 estimate clicks, and 4 email clicks. Paid search carried that week, exactly as it was built to.
Paid search captured demand immediately while organic visibility compounded across all three markets; both were reported against tracked actions every week.
Paid search captured demand immediately while organic visibility compounded across all three markets. Organic traffic doubled in two months, tripled in three, and reached 7x in nine. By the final quarter of the engagement the organic channel was outproducing paid in tracked actions, twelve to six in the last full tracked week, in a week that delivered 40 conversions total.
