Domain authority
Domain Authority (DA) is a score placed on a logarithmic scale that serves to predict how a website will rank on search engine result pages. Through a complex machine learning process, Domain Authority gives you insights not only on how your SEO efforts are paying off in general, but also specifically in comparison to your direct competition.
It’s important to note that, when we say that Domain Authority is a score, we are not talking in absolute terms.
Cut and dry, Domain Authority is a score between 0 and 100 on a logarithmic scale. Unlike with other metrics, however, the vast majority of brands and businesses should not be aiming to score near 100. The metric ranks the probability of ranking high on search engine results, and brands that unilaterally rank the highest, scoring 100 or near, are names like Facebook and Amazon. Unless your website is geared at competing with these monoliths across the board (not just with a specific product or so), these scores are not the ones you should be worried about.
